Vision Latin America

Vision Latin America, in its mission, seeks to intervene and offer protection to all victims of violence, with a particular focus on vulnerable populations. This nonprofit organization has a special concern for high-risk children and youth who have experienced abuse and are either at risk of entering or currently in the foster care system. Beyond this, Vision Latin America also extends its support to individuals transitioning out of DCFS supervision.

The mission of Vision Latin America is multifaceted, aiming to address the needs of various at-risk populations. These populations include LGBTQ+ youth, commercially sexually exploited children, pregnant and parenting teens, victims of sexual assault or family violence, and victims of elder abuse. To achieve this, Vision Latin America operates a medical child abuse program 24/7, in addition to a community mental health center during specific hours. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization expanded its reach by establishing a mental health urgent care system to address the mental health challenges and case management needs of isolated families.
