In 2022, CPHA continued its anti-racist journey and updated its strategic plan, focusing on three primary goals: aligning CPHA's capacity and infrastructure, strengthening public health practice, and building a public health movement. Health equity and anti-racist practice are integrated into these overarching goals. Throughout the year, CPHA hosted various events such as Public Health Day at the Capital during National Public Health Week, a virtual Culture of Data Conference, networking events in partnership with the Colorado School of Public Health, the 3-day Active Collective Trauma Summit in Denver, and a 3-day conference with the theme "Public Health: Forging Forward Together."

CPHA also made significant achievements in 2022, including the launch of a new organizational membership, the Colorado School of Public Health, which increased CPHA membership by 260%, to 1624 members. The Public Health Nursing Section developed the Statewide Professional Scope of Practice in Public Health Toolkit and the Colorado Public Health Nurses Orientation Toolkit.
