Minis & Friends

Minis & Friends is a nonprofit organization that focuses on bringing joy and comfort to individuals in special needs schools, eldercare facilities, and shelters through the visits of their mobile miniature horses. Due to the challenges posed by the pandemic, the organization was unable to carry out its usual visits to these facilities, instead adapting to outdoor window visits at eldercares. In 2021, they did not generate any program service income, as their primary source of revenue came from visit fees at schools and care facilities.

Despite these obstacles, Minis & Friends remained committed to their mission. They believe in the therapeutic power of interaction with their miniature horses, and aim to provide emotional and social benefits to those who may be isolated or in need. By bringing their horses to visit those in special needs schools, eldercare facilities, and shelters, Minis & Friends creates opportunities for meaningful connections and moments of happiness. Their visits can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and provide a sense of normalcy during difficult times.
