Dc Coalition To End Sexual Violence

The D.C. Coalition to End Sexual Violence (DCCESV) is a coalition aiming to enhance the capacity of organizations and agencies in addressing the needs of sexual violence victim-survivors in the District of Columbia. This organization seeks to achieve this mission through education, training, and technical assistance, advocacy, and policy efforts.

As the federally designated sexual assault coalition serving Washington D.C., DCCESV provides centralized leadership for a broad range of stakeholders addressing sexual violence across all eight wards of the city. The coalition continually works to sustain, enhance, and grow its programs, services, and training to advance shared goals such as advancing racial equity as an essential component of sexual assault, increasing access to justice for all survivors of sexual assault, strengthening efforts to prevent and end sexual assault, expanding economic justice and financial advocacy for survivors of sexual assault, and improving outreach, services, and civil and criminal justice responses, prevention, and support for survivors of sexual assault.

DCCESV's activities represent a three-pronged approach, delivering training-, outreach-, and product-centered solutions to D.C.'s sexual assault service providers, while meeting local needs and fulfilling its commitment to survivors, service providers, and the broader community. The coalition's vision is that all victim-survivors in the District receive timely, competent, and high-quality care. Its core values include utilizing an anti-oppression and intersectional lens, working collaboratively, acting with integrity, prioritizing transparency, and upholding victim-survivor-centered and trauma-informed approaches.
