Fidelis

Fidelis is a nonprofit organization, primarily functioning within Catholic parishes, that encourages a mentorship program for young women aged 11 to 18. This program, sponsored by the parishes themselves, operates under the guidance of volunteer leaders and follows a curriculum aimed at nurturing the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional development of its participants. The program consists of weekly meetings during the academic year, along with retreats, and saw the involvement of 415 young women and 185 volunteers as of September 2021. Fidelis' mission is to foster a sisterhood among these young women, shaping them into virtuous disciples of Christ, using movies, activities, and games, while connecting the teachings to Sunday Mass readings.

This is achieved through the example of Catholic women, encouraging the young girls to develop a strong relationship with God. The program utilizes intentional, virtuous, and feminine methods, incorporating elements like movie clips, activities, and games to instill the principles of virtue. The program also connects discussions on virtue to the Sunday Mass readings and provides opportunities for weekly meetings, seasonal outings, and an annual Inspire trip where chapters from different parts of the country come together. The ultimate goal is to capture the heart of a young woman, guiding her towards a confident proclamation of her readiness for God.
