Hampton Educational Foundation

The Hampton Educational Foundation plays a pivotal role in fostering innovation, stimulating creativity, and broadening opportunities for students within the Hampton City Schools. This nonprofit organization's mission is geared towards empowering educators, aiming to enhance teaching and learning methods. To accomplish this, the Hampton Educational Foundation grants funds to various schools, enabling teachers to implement unique and engaging learning experiences.

During the past year, the foundation has awarded eight teacher appreciation grants totalling $3,525. These grants provide financial support to teachers, enabling them to pursue their ideas and enrich their classrooms. Furthermore, during the Christmas season, the Hampton Educational Foundation went above and beyond by purchasing essential items such as books, games, and groceries for 138 homeless students belonging to 68 families within the Hampton City Schools. This generous act of kindness provided these students with joy and necessities during the holiday season.

In addition to its direct financial support, the Hampton Educational Foundation also awards teacher grants. In the recent past, it has awarded 24 teacher grants, amounting to a significant $16,753. These grants provide teachers with the resources they need to implement innovative teaching methods and engage their students in meaningful learning experiences. Moreover, the Hampton Educational Foundation further supports education by providing a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student, helping to alleviate the financial burden of higher education.
