Mission Statement of Council For Court Excellence

The Council for Court Excellence (CCE) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan civic organization that was established in 1982. Its mission is to envision and work towards a justice system in Washington, D.C. that serves its people equitably and continues to be a model for fostering stronger and more prosperous communities. CCE achieves this by collaborating with diverse stakeholders to conduct research, advance policy, educate the public, and increase civic engagement. The organization's primary focus is on improving the administration of justice in the local and federal courts and related agencies in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. By identifying and proposing solutions, CCE strives to ensure that the justice system in Washington, D.C. is fair, efficient, and effective in serving its residents.
