The Us-India Policy Institute, abbreviated as USIPI, is dedicated to conducting policy research focused on diversity and inclusive developments in both India and the United States. Their vision is centered around ensuring equal access to freedom, justice, and opportunity in India, which they achieve through their three core pillars: research and documentation, capacity building for early career researchers, and collaboration to foster innovation.

USIPI's mission is to undertake comprehensive policy research in the areas of diversity and inclusive developments, with a particular focus on India. By doing so, they aim to contribute to a more equitable society. Their research and documentation efforts involve collecting and analyzing data to provide insights and recommendations for policy makers. Their capacity building program is designed to uplift and support early career researchers, empowering them to contribute effectively to the field. Lastly, USIPI encourages collaboration with various stakeholders to create innovative solutions and drive positive change.

In practice, USIPI has demonstrated its commitment to these pillars through its partnership with the India-based non-profit, Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF). Together, they implemented the COVID Digital Emergency Relief Program (CDERP), which assisted over 100,000 vulnerable families from marginalized communities who were adversely affected by the pandemic. This program provided essential supplies, access to government-sponsored entitlements and services, accurate information about COVID and vaccinations, digital education for students without digital access, financial literacy, and various other services. This initiative showcases USIPI's dedication to research, capacity building, and collaboration, ultimately aiming to promote a more inclusive and equitable society.
